Fics like merry christmas, please don't call (i would rather burn forever)

The sound of laughter echoes from within the manor, and he can’t help himself from glancing inside. It’s bright, is the first thing he notices. The second is the amount of kids dotted around. There’s at least eight wandering around, most completely unfamiliar. They’re all dressed up for the holidays and, they look happy. It’s weird to think that in a different life, Jason may be inside that room too. And the worst part is he could do it, he could knock on the door and change it all. ____________________________ Or, Sometimes the Holidays really are about letting go, as much as they're about coming together. Merry Christmas, and a Happy New Year. Maybe this time, it finally would be.
