Fics like When Nightmares Follow (A Black Phone & Strangers Things Crossover)

Finney Blake thought escaping The Grabber's basement in 1978 was the end. He was wrong. After The Grabber returns from the dead four years later, the Blake family flees Denver for Hawkins, Indiana—desperate for safety, for normal, for peace. But Hawkins has its own monsters. When Finney's psychic sister Gwen has a vision of twelve-year-old Will Byers being taken by something with too many teeth and no face, Finney refuses to let another child suffer like he did. He's survived a serial killer twice. He can protect one kid on a bike. He fails. Now Will is missing, dragged into a nightmare dimension called the Upside Down. And Finney—seventeen, traumatized, barely holding together—is pulled into Hawkins' darkest secrets alongside Joyce Byers, her son Jonathan, and a mysterious girl with telekinetic powers named Eleven. Every dark tunnel sends Finney back to the basement. Every monster's grip reminds him of hands around his throat. But Will is still alive, still fighting, still waiting for rescue. And sometimes the most broken people are the ones who refuse to let others break. From Denver's basements to Hawkins' Upside Down—some nightmares never end. They just change shape.
