The story follows Shizuo Heiwajima after he’s forced to leave his familiar life and travel to Kanto for work. What begins as a routine assignment quickly unravels when a client goes missing, pulling Shizuo into a situation that feels increasingly wrong. In the middle of this uncertainty, he comes face to face with Izaya Orihara—someone from his past he never expected to see again. As Shizuo searches for answers, old tensions, unresolved emotions, and buried history resurface between them. Izaya’s presence complicates everything, blurring the line between coincidence and manipulation. The story explores suspicion, restraint, and unspoken care, as Shizuo struggles between walking away and staying to protect someone he doesn’t fully trust—but can’t bring himself to abandon. At its core, the story is about displacement, unfinished business, and two people circling each other through danger and uncertainty, with the question hanging over everything: is this reunion a mistake… or the start of something neither of them can escape?
