Fics like Whiskey Soured

Alastor let the reality of the situation sink in. Now, he not only felt sick from the infernal drug, but felt sick with himself. For being blindsided. For being weak enough to be caught by it. For being so weak. He wouldn’t let himself show the fear clenching at his heart, threatening him with the unknown. He had no clue what this would mean for him or what would happen. This was far beyond his range of experience. He couldn’t allow Vox to see him in such a state. “And what’s in it for you?” Alastor asked slowly. “If anyone is taking you down, it's not going to be some random motherfucker off the street. It’s going to be me,” Vox answered with a quiet earnestness. He stood, not facing the half-conscious deer. “Rest. I’ll find the antidote or whatever the fuck it is will fix you.” ------ Alastor gets slipped a love potion while at a bar, and Vox finds him half-conscious in an alleyway. Vox takes it upon himself to figure out what happened and how to help his old pal. Things do get a lil' dicey and spicy along the way.
