Fics like Zero

Zero. A number etched onto Dazai's wrist like a tattoo he'd regret the day after getting it. A small black oval that reminds him that he doesn't belong amongst others. It's not supposed to be like this - permanent, unchanging, pathetically low. This number supposedly reflects compatibility two people have. Should two people join hands, the same number appears on their wrists. The most prominent number is thirty, people seeing eye-to-eye. They say middle forties is enough for a healthy friendship, and seventy is what most consider a fair compatibility for a happy marriage. Anything above eighty is rare, kindred souls who can hardly part from each other. A hundred is the highest it can be. Soulmates, destined for each other by fate. All Dazai has ever gotten is a zero.
