Fics like Beyond the Border

The USS Voyager reaches the edge of Asharay space, a zone of flowing energies, shifting nebulae, and technologies that elude known sensor technology. Captain Kathryn Janeway leads her crew with quiet determination into a region as unpredictable as its inhabitants. When a hologram of the speaker Vexor appears on board and offers a meeting, Janeway must make a decision that inextricably links diplomacy and risk. But the encounter takes an unexpected turn: during the negotiations, Janeway is abducted. The ship that received her dissolves almost silently into the energy nebula—and with it, all trace of the captain. What remains is a crew balancing between duty and fear. And a Seven of Nine whose analytical clarity suddenly gives way to a single priority: finding Janeway. But will Janeway still be the same when she finds her? Between diplomatic shadows, looming danger, and the subtle movement of a relationship that deepens despite all the rules, a story unfolds about trust, responsibility, and the quiet strength of two women who are closer than either would ever admit.
