Fics like Zeitgeist

Of 32 women captured by HYDRA in 1939, Lucille “Lucy” Opal Baker is chosen to become a weapon labeled “Decay '', used to aid the Wehrmacht in World War II. After she receives a serum allowing her to see and change molecules, HYDRA deems Lucy ready to fight on the frontlines. But she refuses to kill. After a year of captivity, Agent Elizabeth “Peggy” Carter, undercover as Nurse Elizabeth, rescues both Lucy and Dr. Erskine from Schmidt’s clutches. They travel to Camp McCoy, where Lucy strikes up a friendship with James “Bucky” Buchanan Barnes while making a name for herself as an SSR agent. When Project: Rebirth produces Captain America, HYDRA is suddenly at her heels and Lucy realizes their spotlight is not only pointed at her, but also on James Barnes. Suddenly, Lucy is very susceptible to compromise.
