Fics like flicker of a streetlight

Maki lays down next to Taki, trying not to look at the incredibly full suitcase he's had packed since the weekend, one that he now has to empty. "Well, I'll just stay here, then. My Christmas dinner will be rice and a fried egg. Convenience store ice cream for dessert." Taki makes a sad little sound, then leaps up from the couch with an excitement only found in newborn puppies upon being presented with a treat. "What if," he starts, practically vibrating with excitement, "you stayed with me? My mom wouldn't mind, and we can do, like, fun winter things!" - International student Maki can't go back home thanks to a snowstorm. Taki offers to let him stay with his family during winter break.
