Fics like Merry Christmas (Please don't Go)

When Sirius leaves to go on a trip for the christmas holidays with his boyfriend, it leaves James, for once in his life, left completely alone. During the break, he supposed there were a lot of things he could be doing- but instead he was rotting inside of his apartment, alone with his thoughts and the recent bubbling, deprecative feelings within him left after a recent break up. His days are slow, his mind slower, and it's what has him taking one of his late night runs much later than he's planned, setting out beneath the stars. What he does not expect- is to find a man on the bridge, overlooking the ways down below. Or; James thinks it's fate that has him running late on his daily run and finding Regulus Black before he can jump, and Regulus does not think he has it in him to find a will to live until he is staying in a random man's apartment, hiding out from his parents.
