Fics like The Definition of Dignity

Even if the Capitol won’t, I know that Drusilla will remember me as the district piglet who fought back. The one who prided manners and dignity so much. I might lose my life, but I won’t lose my honour. That pride? It’ll outlast my mortality for years to come. ~~ Maysilee Donner knows that fighting back is futile. It could result in death, depression, and torture. But that won’t stop her. Even as a powerless District Twelve citizen, she won’t let the Capitol pin her down. Even as a tribute in the Second Quarter Quell, she won’t die without respect. Even as a victor, she’ll ensure that she keeps her dignity, no matter what. ~~ A SOTR Maysilee victor AU, also kind of a rewrite of said book. Enjoy! OG’s know that this is a rewrite of “The Honour of a Victor”, which was kind of bad, thus resulting in this rewrite! (formerly titled “honour is an everlasting wound) cut scenes from this fic are here: https://archiveofourown.org/works/76089386/ Partially inspired by Sick of Losing Soulmates by funlildude!
