Fics like i'll wait (for your love)

As children, their height difference had always been something that made Will’s stomach flip-flop in that familiar, weightless manner. Fluttery, before he had ever known what it meant. Mike would never loom over him, ominous and terrifying like adults were. Now, with a few years and a handful of growth spurts between them, the difference isn’t as obvious. If Will stood up at full length, he’d meet Mike’s eye with ease. But Will has never learned how to control himself around Mike. So he makes himself smaller, without really meaning to. or: Four times someone points out Will acting weird around Mike, and the one time Mike asks him about it.
