Fics like Alligator

Update: This was a one-shot character study/Alastor origin concept, and now it is a whole dang thing. Below is the updated summary. The original summary is in the first chapter. In 1950s Pentagram City, Alastor and Rosie conspire to overthrow the Overlord of the press, Broadside. For that, Alastor must make a deal with the Overlord’s cherished retainer: a prima donna with a voice that once captivated the masses. But between Alastor’s mortal life history with the diva, the press Overlord’s intractable hold on public opinion, and an ambitious, TV-headed newcomer with an eye for a slice of the media pie, the scheme to take down the tabloid demon’s empire won’t be so easy to pull off.
