Fics like Different, But Not Wrong.

This was different. Wrong. Daryl crying wasn't wrong. It was the way he cried. Gasping for breath while trembling hands desperately gripped handfuls of half-melted snow. His back rippled as muscles kept tensing and relaxing. Every brief brush of the wind against gnarled scars made this low whine bubble from his throat. Daryl didn't whine. He barked, he growled, he snarled and gnashed his teeth. But at this moment he sounded more like a kicked puppy than the dog that always guarded himself, even when his tail was tucked between his legs and his ears were pulled back in fear. He always growled, he always snarled. Except now. ~~~ I am a machine that has suddenly decided to start turning every second of downtime into Daryl Dixon angst. I am so sorry for this. Shoutout to the 2 people I've been shooting little bits of this back and forth two y'all are beloved <3
