Fics like Lessons in Being Seen

Boq of Munchkinland has always lived in a world that looks past him. Determined to understand the power that governs his people, he arrives at Shiz University hoping to shape a different future. Instead, he is drawn into the orbit of three extraordinary students: glamorous Glinda, sharp and misunderstood Elphaba, and Fyero, a charming prince whose confidence unsettles Boq in ways he never expected. As friendships deepen and an unexpected bond grows between him and Fyero, the shining façade of Oz begins to crack. Disappearances, whispered laws, and quiet injustices pull the four of them toward secrets far bigger than any of their plans. To stand together means risking the safety of their old lives. To turn away means abandoning those who cannot fight for themselves. And for the first time, Boq must choose not just what he observes— but what he is willing to change.
