Fics like Tomorrow

“What a pity.” It is like the entire world came to a halting stop. The wind, the sounds of the leaves, the echoes of the party, everything fades into nothingness. And Ei, Ei struggles to breathe, struggles to believe. Hope hurts after so many years. Now she is powerless against that feeling that broke her heart so many times. A pair of high heels clinks against the hardwood floor. The scent of cherry blossoms seems to have increased tenfold, enveloping every last one of Ei’s senses. She turns her slowly. A beloved face smiles right back at her. Ei had prayed for so many years, she had carried on with her life while patiently waiting until hope turned into heartbreak, into pure, unbridled pain. And yet, seeing that face again now, all Ei can feel is relief. Tomorrow has finally come… After five hundred years waiting for her beloved, Ei finally finds her happy ending.
