Fics like Failure to Catch on (and Other Tests of Patience)

Rhodey doesn’t expect anything to come out of his, frankly, absolutely spectacular night with Bucky. He’s no stranger to the concept of one-night stands, has—due to his demanding career—prefered casual relationships with no strings attached himself for most of his adult life, so he’s admittedly surprised when Bucky texts him a couple of days after their encounter. Surprised, but not averse to an eventual repeat performance. Or; five times Rhodey is completely oblivious to how serious Bucky is about them, and the one time the second most emotionally stunted person in Avengers Tower talks some sense into him.
