Fics like butter me up, why don’t you?

Park Jimin likes to think he lives a peaceful, predictable life running his family’s traditional bakery with his two best friends. His routines are perfect, his pastries are perfect, and nothing ever disrupts the quiet harmony he’s built throughout the years. Nothing ever went wrong in his life. That is, until one Monday, something does. A sign appears across the street. A new bakery opens— a flashy, contemporary shop run by Jeon Jeongguk, who always brings Jimin his baked goods and compliments his bakery while Jimin can’t seem to see him as nothing but a threat. While Jimin becomes increasingly irritated, Jeongguk only grows more friendly and enthusiastic. It only gets worse when the community announces that both bakeries must collaborate to run the dessert booth for the annual festival. Jimin is horrified. And Jeongguk is thrilled.
