Fics like Now I have you with me under my thoughts

Remus Lupin thought he’d buried his first love somewhere between the Hills of Wells and seventeen quiet years of adulthood. He became a father. He became steady. He stopped smoking. He learned how to live without wanting too much. Sirius Black… didn’t. One radio interview, one impulsive social-media DM, and suddenly Sirius is right back in Remus’s orbit - dragging every old headline, every old wound, and every old promise with him. Teddy and Victoire open a Pandora’s box of photographs. Harry and Draco hover somewhere between amusement and alarm. James and Lily try to fix everyone’s emotions whether asked or not. And Remus and Sirius? They’re trying to breathe in the same world again after seventeen years of silence, pretending the past isn’t standing between them like a living thing. They were never supposed to reunite. So why does it feel like neither of them ever stopped waiting?
