Fics like The Pack Survives

Thia isn't expecting to see Dek when she walks through the ship's passageway, but here he is, with a very odd look on his face. She's had to do some quick work with her own coding, re-calibrating her emotional center to include reactions to Yautja expressions, and then building a library of Yautja expressions and their meanings once she realizes that there is no database to refer to. It's really more of a library of Dek's expressions and their meanings, since he's the only one she's got to reference, but it's better than nothing. This, however, is a new one. She quickly catalogs it as “discouraged/resigned/grieving/tired” and files it away in an “unfinished” folder for later interpretation. “Dek?” she asks. “What's wrong?” “I can't {unintelligible} reach,” he says, and Thia blinks.
