Fics like The Death Curl

“Kid…remember that documentary we watched on spiders the other day?” Peter hums in agreement. “When they, uh, when they’re pretty shaken up-” fearing for their lives, goes unsaid, “-they curl up, remember? They play dead, the death curl,” Tony explains, growing more and more certain as he talks. “That’s what this is? How do we fix it? You said the threat was gone,” Peter asks, the trust he puts in Tony so apparent in his words. “Well, I could always carry you back to the quinjet. I’m sure you’ll naturally just decompress on the way back,” Tony shrugs. He’s not entirely assured of his ability to support Peter’s weight at his age but he’ll grit his teeth and give it a go regardless. If not, he has a plethora of enhanced beings to choose from. “You are not carrying me,” Peter says firmly. Or: After a nasty shock in battle, Peter finds himself stuck curled up and has to calm himself down in order to regain mobility.
