“Buddy, you can’t keep doing this.” He finally says, putting his hands on his ample hips. “Why don’t you just take the dead mice from the biology lab, like that RA told you to do?” Matt makes a sour face. The blond huffs and takes a step forward, trying to level his tone. “Look, it’s really not safe for you to be flying at all, Matt. Not with your… you know.” The brunette goes silent and stiff as a board. He clenches his jaw. Foggy mentally slaps himself for mentioning the blind elephant in the room. “I’m not- don’t take that the wrong way.” He fumbles, desperately trying to backtrack. Matt somehow looks more betrayed than when he fell through the window. ----- An AU where some people are born genetically able to turn into an animal at will, and they retain their animal traits in human form. Matt is a barn owl. Foggy is just a guy in love with his roommate. (Even if he doesn't realize it yet)
