Fics like it's an old tale.

Years after his death, after years of hard questions, Gerry meets a person that truly understands him. It only takes one conversation to trust him. He tells Jon where to find his journals, lets him know the parts of him nobody else cared enough to bother knowing. Jon sees him and, somehow, they find each other in the pages. This is what it means to fall in love with the 'what if,' to love someone already gone. This is an old song. You know how it ends.
