Fics like You Are Totally Mom & Dad!

Dustin has a brilliant idea. (Of course he does.) He ropes Eddie into running a D&D club at the Hawkins community center and ropes Steve into being the designated Snack Provider. What starts as chaos with Capri Suns, dice disasters, and far too many goblins slowly turns into a routine that feels a little too much like home. The kids begin calling Eddie Dad and Steve Mom without thinking about it. Dustin absolutely does think about it. (And he is unbearably smug about it.) Somewhere between late-night campaign planning, shared rides with the windows down, and Steve’s steady hand under the table, Eddie and Steve realize the kids may have seen the truth first. Or where: Eddie is the dramatic Dungeon Dad, Steve is the overprotective Snack Mom, Dustin is very proud of himself, and accidentally starting a family turns out to be the most natural thing in the world.
