Fics like A Safe Place to Land

She was supposed to file a report, not bring home a four-year-old. But when a scared little girl needs somewhere safe to land, Lucy Chen does what she’s always done—leads with her heart. With Sergeant Tim Bradford quietly stepping in to help, the two of them fall into a rhythm neither expected—grocery runs, bubble baths, pancakes, and paperwork. But beneath the surface, both of them are facing something deeper: Lucy’s fear of failing a child who finally feels safe, and Tim’s growing awareness of just how much he cares about the woman who always leads with her heart. AU with a four-year-old Tamara Collins. Set around season 4/5.
