Colonial powers train their sea captains in cartography as science so they can claim territory, literally drawing over Indigenous geographies across the globe. Ed, aka Blackbeard, is the most skilled rogue cartographer in the Caribbean, famous for creating spaces on maps where sea creatures assist him in capturing and looting ships. One day, Ed hears about a new rogue cartographer - the Gentleman Pirate, whose piratical maps are full of whimsy and imagination that others lack. They meet and learn that, even across space and time, together they are stronger than any force that tries to tear them apart.
