Rumi thinks that this last month has to be the best month of her life. Well, afterlife. Basically the same thing. People are moving in. She’s seen them, both of them. Rumi practically lost her mind when she realised what was happening, because she’s been alone for an awful amount of time—ten whole years—and she was going to completely go insane if she didn’t have anyone to at least pretend to talk to. She, admittedly, hasn’t been a ghost for very long. It’s only been ten years, which she knows is basically nothing when she’s effectively immortal now. Rumi hasn’t entirely figured that part out, and she’s also forgotten why she died or how it happened in the first place, so all of her hopes of actually moving on have been more or less dashed for the time being. Which is fine, she’s sure she would have figured it out at some point once she actually started to lose it—which likely would have happened in the next year, because ten years was already way too long to spend alone—but now there are people, and they’re moving in, and she’s not going to be alone anymore. Like she said. Best month of her life. (or, a very halloween-appropriate ghost!rumi au)
