Fics like Their Decisions. His Choices.

Maeglin. (Traitor. Criminal. Despicable. That was how the world remembered one of the most wicked eldar in their history. It was his place in the books - as written by the survivors of Gondolin. If one was to asked Maeglin himself, he would agree. The Valar, on the other hand, wouldn't.) Lomion. (An orphaned child, not yet grown. A young ellon, lost in a world that had already cast him in their prepared paints. A voice, silenced, tears drowning the words of a story never told. Until the Valar degreed that he will have another chance to find happiness. (Maeglin, most sincerely, never agreed.) In the end, it comes down to this: Maeglin Lomion died, and he wanted to remain in the Halls to pay for his failure - only to find that Lord Namo re-embodied him against his will. Hiding in the comforting woods of an unfamiliar world, he knows what awaits him when the people of Gondolin find him. And he accepts that. It isn't until he is violently renounced by his mother that he finally finds the strength to face his perceived fate - only for nothing to go as he thought it would. (And there is more than one being who won't let things end like that.)
