Fics like The Wind Led Me to You

"Winds of Change" was a phrase Jules came across frequently in novels. It was used by authors to portray a great shift taking place in the setting or in the characters themselves. When he was younger, the idea made him starry-eyed, and he would look out towards the massive windmills of his hometown with a giddy smile, so sure that they were being powered by their own magic wind. Then, he learned that change could also bring some not-so-good things. Left to fend for himself and his younger brother in a slowly fading town, he pushed it to the back of his mind- a quaint idea that only existed in books. This was seemingly cemented when the last of those windmills shuddered to a halt with an almost pained, creaking groan, and their once bustling town was left forgotten for years. Yet, despite this, he never could quite let go of that childhood belief. Perhaps...that was why he found himself drawn to the new farmer when she arrived.
