Fics like you drew stars around my scars (but now i’m bleeding)

Yelena comes back for an overdue drink with Kate. They become friends— almost something more. But after a year of late-night chats and quiet trust, three years of silence follow. Kate Bishop becomes someone she swore she’d never be: someone who waits. Now she’s a rising journalist, watching Yelena Belova’s face across every news station. The same Yelena who once hated the idea of Avengers is now wearing the title herself. When they’re pulled back into each other’s orbit, every step forward feels like walking on cracked glass. Kate wants answers. Yelena wants forgiveness. Neither of them believes they deserve the other. OR How I’d imagine Kate and Yelena’s relationship would be after and in between Hawkeye and Thunderbolts.
