Fics like a new beginning

Superboy hadn’t died in a fight, nor in a heroic way, he died from a deadly virus, alone and forgotten by everyone, in a hospital. However, he wakes up- wakes up in the past, once again inside the Cadmus laboratory, when he’s freed by Robin, Aqualad, and Kid Flash. Again… locked up again… destined once more to be used as a weapon… destined once more to die alone. So when they escape the facility this time, Superboy decides to leave before they can stop him before Superman arrives, before he can be hurt again, before everything repeats. Superboy no longer wants to be a hero. He wants to live, to be a person, to have a family and now, he will choose his own destiny under the name Conner.
