Fics like The Van Dort Vacancy

Dr. Bumby is dead, and they've been cleared of all charges regarding what happened to one supposed Lord Barkis -- it appears that Smiler Alton, Alice Liddell, and Victor Van Dort can get back to something resembling normality now! Especially Victor, who -- despite being tempted by dreams of being a Whisper -- feels it's his duty to resume his place as the son and heir of the Van Dort family. ...that is, until he and his new friends arrive at the Van Dort mansion, and Victor learns just how much he's actually valued by said family. Cue what was supposed to be his return to a life of luxury turning into a raid on the Van Dort vault, helped by his new friends -- and a couple of curious companions... Story Three in the Valicer In The Dark series, featuring guest stars Barnaby "The Butcher" Fortescue III and Kasimir Jones from Oxventure Presents: Blades In The Dark!
