Fics like I Need You Now (But I Don't Know You Yet)

“There were good lives too,” Merlin said quietly. “Moments. Mornings. Laughing in fields. Holding hands in forests that don’t exist anymore. You once made me a crown of dandelions and declared me King of Nothing.” Arthur huffed a soft laugh through his tears. “Sounds about right.” “You’ve loved me a thousand different ways,” Merlin whispered. “And I’ve lost you just as many.” Arthur turned fully now, reaching out. His hand found Merlin’s jaw, cupping it gently. “Not this time.”
