Thomas Lawrence wakes up on the 26th of April. He joins the other Cardinals in the Sistine Chapel. He is caught in an explosion. He listens to Tedesco rant and Benitez preach. The new Pope is decided. He stands in the hallway outside the balcony where Pope Innocent XIV gives his first speech to millions. He goes to bed. And then he does it all over again. And all over again– And over– And– Thomas is stuck in a time loop of the last day of the conclave.
