She blinks away the spotting in her vision, looking around at the horrid predicament she’s found herself in. Surrounding her are tangles of roots, composed from the same matter as Greyroot. But these have no life pulsing through them. The bark is dry, brittle entirely. She uses this weakness to her advantage, throwing her weight around as much as she is able until the wood breaks, sending her careening to the ground. Her movement seems to startle whatever was shoved into her as its movements quicken and her pain increases. She spends many moments curled around herself on the ground, choking back expletives and sobs. The creature pushes out against her shell, she can feel its tendrils wrapped around her organs, squeezing them, destroying them. She gags. Nothing comes out. Or: Hornet has gotten herself cursed and must find a way to survive it, cure it, and live in the aftermath.
