Fics like Rain

He’d been enjoying the fact that he was mostly alone on the hill, few tourists braving the hike on a late evening, for once. Maybe they’d checked the weather forecast, he thinks grimly. Now, he wishes there were more, because the odds of him being seen or heard in this storm are pretty low, and he has no idea how far from the path he ended up before a tree trunk stopped his slide. He’d probably be fine right now if he hadn’t missed a step trying to avoid stepping on the hedgehog that bolted across his path. But the little creature didn’t deserve to get squashed just because it was trying to escape the rain too.
