Fics like honor et caro.

Rey has a secret and a few dead bodies under her feet. Coming from the outer provinces of the Empire, she is captured by slave hunters and brought in chains to the Imperial Capital. She is later put not in the arena, nor the mines, but in the palace harem — where human and vampire concubines serve as sustenance both for the entertainment and nourishment for the vampiric elite. Thrown into a gilded cage of silk, vampire venom, and greed, Rey quickly learns that the concubines are far more than pretty statues or fanning peacocks. They are political pawns, spies, and sometimes assassins — each striving for the favor of the Empire’s supreme ruler: Emperor Benedictus Ren IV. As Rey navigates the deadly games of the imperial harem and the court’s ruthless factions, she becomes entangled in a quiet war between tradition and rebellion, blood and freedom. Rey has something Ben wants, something within her that threatens the frail concepts of his perfect Empire. But rising in a world built to break her means risking more than her life. It means challenging the Empire — and the vampire who owns it. (Inspired by) Roman Empire AU/Vampires AU
