Fics like Uncle Ian Shows me

"Uh... Uncle Ian?" I began, leaning back awkwardly, trying to act casual. "Why do you call me... Jim? And not Jimmy?" "Well... Jimmy's a name for little boys. And you're not a little boy anymore, are you?" I puffed my young chest up, feeling glad that someone had noticed I was growing up. Ian wasn't just calling me a different name; he saw me differently than my other friends and family, noticing changes in me that I had only just begun to notice myself. "You're at that age," he continued, "Puberty's starting to sneak up on you. And some stuff you won't yet understand yet. You got yourself a girlfriend yet?" I muttered, looking down at the floor, trying to force myself to stop looking at him. In truth, I didn't like girls, and at school, being gay was the worst thing you could be. I had spent much of the last year denying and struggling with the thought, and what I had come to realise was even more confusing. What I really wanted, was someone older. Way older. Something I couldn't have. Yeah, I knew there were some guys like that out there that, but I didn't have the first clue about how to get one.
