Jamie doesn’t know how he got to Roy’s house. He thinks he must’ve broken a few driving laws, or else he ran here. He’s not sure which is worse. All he knows is he’s standing in front of Roy’s door, and his fingers are red with blood from the cut under his eye, and he wants to go to sleep and never wake up. Roy’s already in bed, probably, and he’s gonna be fucking angry to be woken up. Maybe Jamie should just go home. Sleep it off. Skip practice tomorrow. But Roy said to come. He sat Jamie down all serious-like and said if his Da got within ten fucking feet of him, to come to his place. Jamie’s just trying to do what he said.
