Fics like The Gravity of You

Mycroft has always known how to survive his family. Greg has always known how to take care of everyone but himself. They meet at university in the early 90s. A slow burn of curiosity, longing, and fear. When Mycroft’s family tightens its grip and Greg’s mother falls critically ill, their fragile connection fractures under pressure. Months later, fate drags them back together. Both of them still in love and still terrified. What follows is the story of two young men learning how to choose each other through family cruelty, guilt, healing, and the kind of tenderness neither grew up believing they deserved. And in the background lingers a young Sherlock, brilliant and brittle, who needs his brother more than ever. Basically a slow, aching, healing Mystrade coming-of-age romance full of first love, messy families, found family, tenderness, trauma recovery and the quiet bravery of choosing joy.
