The water pooling beneath you does little to distract you from the ceaseless chattering. Any cold sensation a real person would have felt is dulled by artificial, encoded responses responsible for chemical reactions underneath the wires being overwritten a few too many times by God. A real person would feel frostbite gnawing at their feet. You don’t feel anything. Because you are not a real person. You are a program. A program meant to merge the Wired and the Not Yet Wired. Programs don’t feel cold. Programs do exactly as they are told. Or: A take on episode 12 for whumptober.
