Fics like Big Expectations

In which Cove gets overwhelmed by his mom’s teasing and says something he doesn’t mean. The worst part is that you heard it. He finds you on Poppy Hill and you work it out through typical teenage awkwardness and tears. Takes place near the end of step 2, after the camping trip and the dinner, but before the soiree. Slight cannon divergence as you definitely admit how you feel about Cove but you don’t kiss him yet. Rated T just in case, and for some very mild swearing.
