Fics like of notes and noise.
As Mafuyu mends her relationship with her mother and builds a life beyond Nightcord, Kanade is left in the silent, stagnant wake of her own perceived obsolescence. Consumed by a guilt that twists her altruism into something monstrously selfish, she confronts the hollow core of her identity: without someone to save, who is she? In a moment of profound despair, she seeks the ultimate silence, suicide. But instead of an end, she awakens in an endless white void, face-to-face with a patient, faceless entity. Death itself. And Death gives a verdict: her journey is not yet over. (kanade character study; kanade and death chitchat, and both go through kanade's memories together) (ch7 is the canonical ending and ch8 is the alternative ending, also contains art!)
