Fics like Gainful Employment

John Watson returned to London at the end of the war a battered and broken man, without family or friends to call upon in his time of need. It was providence and Stamford that brought us together: me an eccentric theorist on the verge of his first big discovery, and he an invalid in need of safe harbor. “You will be pleased to hear, I’m sure,” said he, “that I have found some gainful employment.” Holmes discovers Watson is posing for pornographic photography to make the rent.
