Fics like The Darkest Afterglow | Joshler

Performing is all that Tyler has ever known. Since he was a child, he has put on a character of sorts.. He didn’t want anyone to see behind his facade, ultimately discovering how dark his head is. So, when the opportunity arose for Tyler to start a band of his own, he jumped at the chance, taking on the name CLANCY and finding a new identity within music. Josh has played the drums since his hands could hold the sticks. It’s all he’s ever known. If you listened to his heart, you’d hear the thud of a bass drum instead. Playing is in his DNA. He uses it as a coping mechanism; a method of covering how anxious he truly is inside. He uses the name TORCHBEARER to hide his identity, drumming in the background for his band, The Banditos. When Battle of the Bands comes around, CLANCY ends up needing a drummer. His management, however, decides to reach out to Josh. Which should be totally fine, right? Wrong. Tyler and Josh have an unresolved past, leaving them both angry and vulnerable amidst the competition. Is the feud possible to overcome? Or will the two men let their hatred get in the way of something truly remarkable?
