Fics like something, someday

paige looks in the mirror and braces herself for the stranger looking back. she looks like everything she's never been. it was the most dishonest thing she's ever done to herself. well, second most. the agent takes his hand and pushes paige's hair off her shoulder. paige resists the urge to flinch. "you want the league to grow, don't you?" paige doesn't look at him. she nods to the porcelain doll in the mirror instead, her mouth set with restless determination. he smiles with too much satisfaction for someone who barely moved a finger and walks towards the door. "by the way, you're doing this photoshoot with the new number one. azzi fudd."
