Fics like You were not there to stop me, so I did not stop you

Tim knows his parents don’t want to take care of him, and he is perfectly fine with that. After all, Tim can take care of himself. He’ll spend his days with his camera, and occasionally Mrs. Mac, for company and study his neighbors with the same intensity as the Riddler’s puzzles. It's a routine he has gotten used to… Until it’s torn to shreds at the most inopportune time. CPS, despite their numerous short-comings, take it upon themselves to use the Drakes as an example if they don’t provide Tim with proper supervision. Why they chose Tim to focus on when there are children living on the streets, he doesn’t know. All he knows is that Robin dies, and Tim is sent thousands of miles away to a torturous boarding school, unable to help, to fix. And then the unthinkable happens- Batman breaks his rule.
