Fics like Birthday Presents

“My birthday’s September twenty-second. We’re exactly a month apart.” Bilbo had grinned at him so widely then that Thorin barely registered the implication of what he’d said. “Yours has passed too,” he frowned when he realized. “We shall have to do something for next year.” “Next year? You’d… want me to stay through next September?” And the hope that Thorin knew Bilbo was trying to smother shone so clearly on his face that he’d wanted to throw all caution to the wind and show him exactly how close he wanted him to stay. AKA Hobbits and dwarves celebrate their birthdays differently. Chaos and confusion ensues.
