Fics like A cat named Turtle

“She put you through turtle hell this evening?” “No,” Mira responded with a shake of her head, “Not at all. I love watching turtle videos with her, it’s just…” Mira’s voice trailed, the realization that she was indeed not getting out of this. “I love Zoey and the way she lights up when she sees turtles just…I was considering figuring out a way to get her a pet turtle…” Mira admitted, her eyes drifted down to Zoey and the way she stretched her legs just slightly before curling right back up like a cat. Rumi's head fell to the side slightly, and the expression etched into her features told Mira everything she needed to know about how Rumi felt about that idea. Her lips had curled into this somewhat disgusted-disapproving frown, and her brows knitted together as she stared Mira down, as if she were trying to melt her under her disapproval. “Mira, I love you. You know I do, but that…how do I put this…” Rumi paused, her hands folding into her lap as she ran her tongue across her teeth. “Is it a bad idea?” Mira offered bluntly, to which Rumi pounced like a cat. Or, Mira gets her girlfriend a cat...named Turtle.
