Fics like drowning in an endless sea (take some time and stay with me)

Erik has more important matters to deal with right now—and although he had met Peter’s revelation with promise, he knows Erik doesn’t owe him anything. He isn’t a kid anymore. So Peter goes through his days pretending as if he isn’t eagerly awaiting Erik’s eventual arrival like some pathetic idiot. As if everything is perfectly normal and okay. But it’s not. It’s not because for the first time, Peter feels like he’s sinking. That with each passing night, each tiring day, he’s drowning. And he can’t do anything about it—doesn’t even know what to do about it.
