Fics like The Ruffians Returns

A year after the “Gentle Ruffians incident,” the Powerpuff Girls Z are still clocking in for hero duty—school by day, butt-kicking by… also day. But echos of the fallen boys won’t stay whispers; whispers echo through New Townsville and their heads like a bad ringtone. And before anyone can say “suspicious plot beat,” the boys slip back into their lives—messier, moodier, and more complicated than ever. Meanwhle, Mojo Jojo, who has learned approximately zero lessons. Determined to outdo the Rowdyruff Boys (and his own résumé of poor choices), he taps into the same weird energy that birthed the Gentle Ruffians to cook up a new menace: a sinister mirror of the Powerpuff Girls Z. Now the girls and their allies must face their most unsettling enemies yet—themselves, twisted. It’s like staring into a funhouse mirror that also wants to punch you.
